Leaving Home

I wrote this poem in English and I’m quite proud of it so I’m posting it today.

Mother, I’m going,
Far, far away.
I’ll always require a second pair of hands.
Every train, or plane
I can’t believe it’s insane!
I’ll need you whether it’s a block
or country
Away.

Father, I’m leaving,
For another place.
If something bends or breaks,
You’ll have to save the day.
Every hour, or minute or second
that passes,
I can count on you to
make me
Smile.

I’m leaving,
to get on a kite
to take a flight
For a world in the clouds.
I step into my sleep,
Not knowing if this could be
My afternoon tea
or a deafening
Storm…

More poems hopefully coming soon… Hope you enjoyed today’s poem!
Magnum Out!
